Nathan Nankervis is an illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. Whether abstract scenes or alphabets, everything is alive in Nathan’s world. His graphic approach, inspired by the Memphis art movement of the 1980s and cartoons of the 1990s, is constantly being created and supplemented through experimental drawings, colors, and patterns. His artistic world, which spans a variety of fields, including installation, design, illustration, fashion, and furniture, is as vibrant as his own style. Nathan’s artwork visualizes the letters that make up our way of thinking in a unique way. Rather than being vessels to convey the meaning that language seeks to convey, he transforms letters into independent objects that express emotions and states in their own right. Each letter, with its own unique emotions and characteristics, conveys diverse meanings, whether alone or together. It simultaneously expresses the ordinariness and complexity of everyday life.
