Maarten Léon is a collage artist based in Amsterdam. Maarten’s work can be described as minimalistic surrealism and is mostly themed around introspection and actualities. Vintage ads and photos mixed to create familiar yet alienating new contexts. Through Maarten’s images, the endless explorations into the surreal and absurd have occurred, resulting in either melancholic or playful collages. His collages tell an instantly recognizable story with pleasing aesthetics.
