아방은 서울에서 활동하고 있는 페인터입니다. 아방의 작업은 “자유롭고 섹시한 생활”을 영위하고자 하는 개인적인 바람과 욕망의 표현으로부터 출발합니다. 사회적으로 당연하게 여겨지는 행위와 역할, 이를 바라보는 시선과 통념, 편경에 의문을 제기하며 주위의 사물과 일상 속에서의 가치를 새롭게 부여합니다. 비일상적인 바이브로 표현합니다. Abang is a painter based in Seoul. Abang's work originates from a personal desire and yearning for a "free and sexy life." She questions the socially accepted actions and roles, the perspectives and conventions that surround them, and reassigns value to objects and daily life. This is expressed with an unconventional vibe. In addition to her paintings that reimagine everyday life, she engages in collage work, intentionally disassembling and recombining sketches, failed works, and incomplete pieces. She also creates installations using broken plaster statues. Through her work, she challenges the notions of "value given only when complete" and "truths taken for granted." Abang's pieces transform ordinary places and landscapes into unique artistic experiences.
